The Art of Storytelling: Your Story is about Your Humanity

Your Story Matters, Not Your Status

I often ask my clients — How do you want to be remembered? They oft times become awestruck not for conjuring a response, moreso they are of the realization it is time for introspection — food for thought. Our stories are so personal, yet they are about people, the experiences and things that shape our lives — our humanity. It is what makes us powerful, it is about what we do for self and others in manifesting for impact and wellbeing. Our stories hold power, promises and possibilities for self and others. In essence, your story is about your humanity, not your status. It is an interwoven tapestry of meaning-making and truth-telling about how you amplify the narratives of your life in a way that honours your lived experiences, encounters, events and facts.

We tell ourselves stories in order to live.

In crafting your story and sharing, it is about how you became who you are, where you are on your journey to becoming and actualizing your best self. The narrative itself becomes a part of who you are and helps with the creation of the blueprint that will shape your life and your legacy.
